Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your computer. The in-built drag & drop functionality will enable you to easily transfer files between your personal computer and the web server. Just select the file that you would like to upload from your desktop PC and then drag it into your browser. The same applies to downloading a file from the File Manager to your hard disk drive. Plus, you can download files and even folders to your desktop PC by pressing the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a brand new file or folder with only one click of the mouse. All action buttons are handily located above the file/folder list and you can edit your files with ease. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to another folder, view the contents of a file or modify its permissions, erase a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager user interface, you will be able to archive and unarchive all types of files. It does work incredibly fast - just select the files you want to pack and push the Compress button. You can even select the compression format (.rar, .zip, and so on). It is just as easy to extract the contents of an archive to a specified folder.
File Editors
With the File Manager user interface, you actually do not need any external software to edit your files. There is an image viewer, which enables you to examine the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will actually appear on the World Wide Web. Plus, you will find an array of integrated file editors, which will give you complete control over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are meant for more knowledgeable users, whereas the WYSIWYG editor (where you can view all HTML source code changes in real time) is also suitable for non-tech-savvy individuals.
